Parashat Yom Kippur (Leviticus 16:1-34)

The reading for Yom Kippur morning describes the service of the High Priest on Yom Kippur. In addition to sacrifices and an incense offering, the service includes the casting of lots over two goats: one to be offered to God on the altar, and the other, a scapegoat, to be dispatched into the wilderness carrying the sins of the Israelites.

Chronicles Seder 14, II Chronicles 7:11-9:23

A daily learning cycle for completing Tanakh annually. On Shabbat, each Torah portion is recited. On weekdays, Prophets and Writings are recited according to the ancient Masoretic division of sedarim.
